Where reading becomes a shared experience
Dragons that Read is a community-centered reading program built on the simple yet powerful belief that reading is more than a skill. It is also a socially enriching and deeply valuable experience.
The world is currently flooded with distractions such as games, social media, endless scrolling, and short-form content. In that environment, we believe that reading longer texts should become more visible and collective through meaningful examples and positive influences. Books, novels, scientific studies, and content in general that require someone’s full concentration to be read and processed help train the brain to become less dependent on sources of instant gratification.
One or two role models who read at home is great, but by itself not enough. Dragons that Read exists to surround people of all ages with many voices, many stories, and many moments that show reading is something enjoyable, meaningful, and valuable.
